"Behold, a Virgin shall be with child and they shall call His name Immanuel, which is translated, "God with us."
(Isaiah 7:14, Matthew 1:23)
Well, Christmas, is almost upon us and as Americans we have much to be thankful for. We live in the greatest nation in the history of the world and God has bountifully blessed each and every one of us. This Christmas, amidst of all the hustle and bustle of attending festive parties and shopping for last minute Christmas presents, it is of paramount importance to reflect upon the true meaning of Christmas: The Birth and Advent of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Son of God and Savior of the World.
Almost 2,000 years ago, Almighty God sent His only begotten Son into the World to be the Lord and Savior of the World. Christmas commemorates the Majestic beauty of the Virgin Birth and Miraculous Incarnation of Jesus Christ, who is fully God and fully man. After being born of a Virgin, Jesus lived a perfect, sinless life and at the age of 30 years old, He went about the ancient Palestinian countryside preaching the Gospel of the Kingdom and performing numerous supernatural miracles recorded in the Bible, God's inspired and infallible Word. Then, after about 3 years of public ministry and preaching and teaching, Jesus Christ was betrayed and condemned to death at the hand of the Romans. Jesus Christ died on the Cross for our sins and rose again from the dead 3 days later in order to be the Savior of all those who repent and believe in His name. This Christmas, why don't you make Jesus Christ your Lord and Savior, turning from your sins and calling upon His awesome name? Jesus Christ is truly the reason for the season!
"For God so loved the World, He gave His only begotten Son, so that whoever believes in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life."
John 3:16
